honestly, probably not until we get wifi 6 client nics with ofdma or whatever in most devices.
You can get 802.11ac wave2 devices with mu-mimo and 160Mhz channels.
Edit: That said, if you're shopping for a new router, there are a couple of "Wifi 6" routers, without high price premiums attached.
The TP-Link AX1500 @ Walmart, is $69.99, and the Asus RT-AX58U @ BestBuy is $179.99, but goes on sale for $159.99 every other week.
There's also a TP-Link AX3000 for $129.99.
Edit: I'm kind of personally holding off on a "Wifi 6" router, because: 1) I don't have any "Wifi 6" (AX) client devices, and 2) I'm a fan of 3rd-party firmware, like Tomato, and I'm not aware of any "Wifi 6" routers that can accept 3rd-party firmware, at this time. Possibly, that will change, and 3rd-party firmwares will adopt AX features.
