Well, do take into consideration noise (fan or passive), and necessary connections (2x DVI?)

Here are the AGP video cards on New Egg.

thank you...

now as i was asking was any recommendations.

look at the list and find the cheapest one. you said the cheapest possible, so whatever that is would be the recommendation.

guess asking for advice here is useless. besides rude useless comments nobody seems to think beyond the box.

sure I'm looking for cheap as possible. that does not mean i want the cheapest. i want a decent board and not a piece of shit. obviously I'm not going to buy her a $200 video card but also don't want something that is going to die in a year.

Sapphire HD3850 for 109.99 AR

That card should be more than powerful enough. A few things to be aware of: stay away from anything that has GDDR2 in it, it's basically useless (and these cards usually have 512MB of the crap too). If she isn't playing many games, (youy said really just WCII) than I would say if she was happy with her 9800's performance, you should look at the AGP6600gt. It was a great card that easilt outperformed the 9800pro and can be had a good prices on ebay.

Here's one for 19.99

Hope that helps!

Edit: What are the rest of her system specs?

The only requirement you posted was for it to be as "cheep" as possible

I don't think any comments here were rude and maybe if you had included more information in your original post you would have gotten an answer that was closer to what you were thinking (yet didn't post).

How is that for thinking outside the box?

Alright man.. The 9800 Pro was a good card in it's day.. I could Doom 3 on my FX5900 XT..

The X1650 Pros will outrun a 9800 Pro, and are about $59.99

Some people have had issues with the card so you may try HIS.. If you want to go with an Nvidia alternative that will outrun a 9800 Pro then you will have go with a Geforce 6600/6800 GT Series. or above..

Umm, yeah. As I said...stay away from cards with the shitty GDDR2

The X1300 is slower than a 9800, unless you're talking only about the XT version. But I don't think they made those for AGP.

If she's not going to game on it besides WC 2 that is 2D not even 3D you should just get any AGP. No need to waste money on useless things she doesn't even use.

$30 shipped and it's cheaper than newegg. Can't do much better than that. Weaker than your wife's 9800pro in 3D but for 2D not much difference. It will consume less power and it's fanless. So no noise.

no shit - OP doesn't provide any info needed then gets pissy when people give him exactly the info he asked for
