So, months ago wife dropped phone in the sink & got it wet. Quickly yanked it. Shut off, pulled battery, did the rice thing, etc.

After it dried out, it seemed ok, but battery life was hampered. Long story short this thing now does this thing where the verizon screen comes up and then every 20 seconds or so a white screen flashes and it just keeps doing that over & over.

Sometimes if you pull the battery for several minutes & reinsert it'll come back on normally. (You just can't let the battery fully die or it does it all over again).

Today, the sucker just will not come back. Looping boot & no-joy.

Thinking of going into VZW & getting on my knees like a good VZW beyotch. I don't have insurance. Can I enstate insurance now & make it retroactive??? Or options???

TIA

That would kind of defeat the purpose of insurance... not to mention most doesnt cover water damage. I'd recommend just buying a phone out of contract or on ebay for a new in box phone.

Buy a cheap CDMA phone on Amazon, activate it with Verizon as your new main phone. They dont mind if you bring your own in assuming you keep the service.
As for scamming the insurance, I recommend against it.

Insurance covers everything - it's warranty that doesn't cover water damage.

As for adding insurance, even if it were a good idea (it's not), you only have a few days after purchasing a device to add insurance (I think it was 3-5?). This may have changed, but I don't think so.
