Wife PWNS KOHL'S Dept. Store!

I, like most people, are sick to death about stores advertising huge sales and it turns out the prices are the same old prices they always have. My wife was at Kohl's last night buying school clothes, and they were advertising 50% OFF on selections of shoes, clothes, etc. While shopping, she noticed that the prices were actually a couple of dollars higher than when she bought the same items last week and they were only 30% off. She looked in her purse and still had the receipts showing the cheaper 30% off sale price. She marched off to customer service and had to argue with two reps and a manager. They all claimed that the price reduction was off the MSRP of the product, but she kept fighting back asking how 30% off MSRP can be cheaper than 50% off MSRP??? After 10 minutes (and other people in line going "Yeah! She has a point- I always wondered about that!), the manager caved in and refunded her ***$120*** off of missed savings/price matching. Heheheh- I wonder how many other people did the same thing after we left (there was quite the group of spectators going on there).

All stores do this- it's great to be able to catch them in the act 😀

EDIT: For clarification, she got 50% off of her sale prices from last week.

I think Kohls is one of the worst. I don't pay any attention to their so-called sales or how much I'm "saving," I look at their actual prices and decide if I want to buy based on that.

Stupid Manager:

Last week was 30% off Kohls regular price.

This week is 50% off MSRP.

J/K, I hate that crap too. Glad your wife got some cash back. Now tell her to stop buying crap just because it's x% off. 🙂

wow, if you are ever dissatisfied with her, send her over my way 🙂
i can use someone like her when I go shopping.

School clothes are ending up costing as much as tuition for our two kids. Stupid uniforms 🙁

Never mind ... I missed your clarification (I thought his wife spent 600 in shoes). Plus I just realized that she got 30% off of

I hate Kohl's. They always have a "sale" going on such that you really couldn't call it a sale if everything is always discounted off of some price that you never see.
