I, like most people, are sick to death about stores advertising huge sales and it turns out the prices are the same old prices they always have. My wife was at Kohl's last night buying school clothes, and they were advertising 50% OFF on selections of shoes, clothes, etc. While shopping, she noticed that the prices were actually a couple of dollars higher than when she bought the same items last week and they were only 30% off. She looked in her purse and still had the receipts showing the cheaper 30% off sale price. She marched off to customer service and had to argue with two reps and a manager. They all claimed that the price reduction was off the MSRP of the product, but she kept fighting back asking how 30% off MSRP can be cheaper than 50% off MSRP??? After 10 minutes (and other people in line going "Yeah! She has a point- I always wondered about that!), the manager caved in and refunded her ***$120*** off of missed savings/price matching. Heheheh- I wonder how many other people did the same thing after we left (there was quite the group of spectators going on there).
All stores do this- it's great to be able to catch them in the act 😀
EDIT: For clarification, she got 50% off of her sale prices from last week.
