Well, relatively speaking...
Background: As many here know, my wife has been suffering from nearly constant headaches for nearly 7 years now. It has caused her to lose several jobs and driven her to a suicide attempt a year ago. The doctors have no idea exactly what the cause is. All signs point to Occipital Neuralgia. She has been on countless drugs and nothing has helped at all.
Present: She had an MRI done on on Saturday to check her pituitary gland because in her latest blood work they found an elevated Prolactin level. Well, today the analyses are in with some surprising results. It turns out that she does have a tumor on or around her pituitary gland. We don't have any details yet. She is being scheduled to see a Neuro-Surgeon. The exciting part is the discovery of a probable cause of the headaches. Chiari Syndrome Again, we will get more info when we see the Neuro-Surgeon.
At least now the docs aren't just poking around in the dark anymore!
