Hey all,
Not sure if I told you all or not, gut Heather was in the market for a job (teacher) starting in January. Unfortunately, because I am in graduate school, wee were limited to this area, and there were NO OPENINGS for January. Well, one came up, and out of NOWHERE, she was called for an interview (even though she had not requested one). SHE GOT THE JOB!!! SO cool, and such a relief. She is only one of 2 graduating student teachers this year to land a job right out of school.
It's more than just pride, too, guys. We were desperately praying she would get the job for money purposes. As a teaching assistant, I get paid, but not enough to support a family. Though I am getting a 25% raise in January, we were still concerned that she would have to struggle for a semester or two to keep up with bills before actually getting a real job. BUT NO WORRIES NOW! Feels so good.
BTW, we got the proofs from our wedding. Those promised pics will be scanned and posted as soon as we get a little free time.
