I'm just taking a nap when I get a call from my wife - she's on her way home from work. "And don't be mad, but I'm bringing home two dogs," she says. WTF?! Turns out she found two little puppies roaming around - both appear to be groomed well, and well fed. We gave them baths and will be taking them to check for microchip tomorrow - if not, we think a friend will take them since we don't have room in our apartment for what they'll look like.

Any ideas what they are? I'm thinking lab and bulldog mix.

That was my original idea, but a neighbor thought maybe American Bulldog - oh well, the chocolate one is beautiful.

the brown one reminds me of a chow. Probably wont be a problem but its not a good idea to mix strays with your own pets because of disease.

 for helping them

Alrighty, they're back in their cage then - they have more than enough room to play with each other.

Hope you can keep them together.
SOmeone is no doubt missing them...

I always thought is would be a great ideal to start a national, by area,
online database to post lost-found dogs and cats onto.
Some site advertised well so everyone knows about it.
And just one major national site, not a dozen copy cats.

I am always coming across lost dogs walking the streets or lost in some neighborhood.
Usually looks like they just got out when the owner wasnt looking, something
that can easily happen.
Then you could post it asap online for your town, area, zipcode and someone just
realizing their pet got out, could track down the area or at least get some idea where to
look. It doesnt take long for a dog, especially two or more, to get several blocks away from home.

I had three American Eskimo?s escape under a fence back in 2003. I went crazy looking
for 5 days. Posted some 125 missing signs with photos, all over the area.
One by one, someone called and seen one or two of them, and we finally got them all back. Even the mailman on his route from some 3 miles away seen a sign, and called from his cell. He had just seen one, he thought, in a yard on his route that he knew the people there did not have a dog. We drove over immediately, and there was spot. And was he crazy insane happy to see us coming for him. (at least he pretended to be ;) )

Yah, they're awesome together. It looks like I have someone who's going to help me get them into a no-kill shelter and try to make sure they stay together. My original plan didn't work because he was afraid of the pitbull mix.
