Wierd Win2k Server Issues

I first started working on the office's Win 2k server when I was notified that someone was not able to log into via VPN. Sure enough I get an error 800 everytime I try myself. However, nothing was touched, the day before, or even a week before that in terms of settings. I have noticed some strange things also now that don't really point me in any direction that's helpful. For instance, when I remote into the server, it won't let me Disconnect. I'll go to Start, Shut Down, Disconnect, but instead, the window disappears and nothing happens. Then I can't get anywhere online because IE will freeze within 2 seconds of opening a page and explorer itself will freeze when I try to acces C:\WINNT and/or C:\Program Files. All other folders open up just fine. I don't know if that has anything to do with the VPN being all screwy, but those two folders opened up just fine a week ago, and IExplorer also aways worked for us. Any suggestions?
