Wierd, WIERD audio issue

I am not much of a gamer, but I really enjoy fast machines and overclocking them. That being said, I abuse them by playing Quake and Crysis like games every now and again.

Tonight I plugged in a set of rear speakers to this new rig to blast some audio and do some gaming & drink some beer. OK got the beer part OK and then some gaming. Then I start hearing a radio or TV station's commercials in these rear speakers! I'm playing Crysis and I'm approaching a checkpoint - so I figure it's in the game (lol silly me). Until I hear them talking about local things to San Diego!

This was wierd and I promise no drugs involved - just beer and at that point, only a couple. Now I think I need a couple more ...

I shut down the game and it continues. It fades in and out with a bit of static, just like a radio transmission during the game. If I wasn't half sober, it would have really spooked me! ;-(

I've never heard this through the front set of speakers. The rears are run with RCA jacks & wires across the room to a bookcase behind me. Could those 25-foot cables introduce RF into the on-board sound device? If so, why does it click in and out like that? It's just like somebody's clicking on a microphone and transmitting, then quitting. But it's a local station!
