watching my power supply voltage carefully lately, my 12v has jumped to 13v frequently, the 5v to 5.5v and the 1.6v to around 3v... im worried that my psu is going bad...any ideas?

anyone else have a problem like this?

its an antec truepower 420w thats approx 2.5 years old.

im using the asus probe to check the voltages, and i could check the voltages from the molex w/ a dmm, but its not consistant, it only spikes from time to time

I would venture a guess here that the asus probe is spiking, not the volts
Volts go down, not up

Motherboard Monitor (which had its last version 5.3.7 about a year ago) has a feature whereas you can set the voltage monitor to check down to one second intervals and post results to a text based log.

You gave no indication of your system, but if MBM recognised your monitoring chip, that would be the way to go.

Theres also Speedfan software
and HMonitor

You could also try an analogue MM to catch spikes
