Ok as you can see in my sig I am running an OC'ed 2600+, but ever since i put my SP-97 on the system my diode temps are quite a bit lower then the socket temps at idle. During load the diode temp eclipses the socket usually. I am using MBM 5 to monitor temps and just wondering why my diode temps would be lower. At idle my temps are case 25C, diode 28C, socket 36C. During load my temps get up to case 26C, diode 37C, socket at 37C but sometimes warms to 40C even though the diode never gets that high.

Just wondering what you guys think?

I am not familiar with that particular board. But, you should know that the CPU is not the only source of heat on a motherboard. There are switching voltage regulators on motherboards that generate voltages like VCore that get quite hot.

yeah i'm assuming my HS is cooling the diode very efficienlty and thats why it is lower. But, i haven't seen anyone else with temps like this so i was just wondering...my systems stable so i'm not complaining.
