My wifes Compaq laptop had tea spilled into it so I sent it back to the manufacturer for a repair estimate.
When talking to the rep on the phone I got an estimate for over $1G to fix it which is what I paid for the damn thing. So they say it would have been covered if I had purchased the accidental warranty repair coverage. I think for a little bit and ask if I can go ahead and purchase it now. They said sure transferred me to that department and I purchased that coverage. So now the laptop is back to me unrepaired and I am going to send it back and hopefully get it fixed under my new breakage coverage.
I think thier is about a 50/50 chance this will work. My thinking is that they screwed up and once they check the service history of the laptop they will see that it has been thier before with spillage damage and won't cover it with the just purchased breakage coverage. Or will they???
Any bets??
