2nd time this machine crapped out. This must be my cursed machine...
Machine Specifications:
IWill KK266R
Duron 1Ghz Socket A
2x 256MB Crucial PC133 SDRAM CAS 2.0
GeForce2 MX 400 64MB AGP
Integrated Audio
Generic Soft56K PCI Modem
CNet PRO200WL Ethernet Card
IBM 75GB Deathstar 7200RPM Hard Drive (Detected as 82GBm, 82GB labeled as capacity on drive)
Liteon 16X DVD
Iomega (Sanyo) 12x4x32 CDRW
I'm not quite sure what happened but all of a sudden, one day, the machine has Chinese Windows XP and it dies as it in encounters an error while booting up and then the only option is to reboot. I've formatted it and installed the Windows XP again and after I run Windows Update and the reboot (for changes to go into effect), it craps out again. I don't know what is happening and why. The hard drive checks out fine and the memory checks out fine. I've checked the CPU temperature and that was okay too. The machine is not overclocked. It's using Chinese Windows XP so I can't read the error message but I will try installing the English version to see if that sheds any light. It can't be a machine that doesn't accept a Chinese OS, can it???
