Girlfriend traveled this weekend :9 so I had a good chance to play as much as I wanted. But no, faith would not have it.
I have a Logitech Wingman Extrem Digital 3d.
Its like 2 months old. My fevorite game now is Desert Combat (BF1942) and I sure as hell need it for the Choppers and planes🙂.
Well all was fine on friday, but on saturday I started the game but there was no response from the stick. I quite and went to the Logitech profiler and it could not find any devices connected. I checked and it was connected. Anyway I disconnected and connected, still nothing. I tought what an early RMA🙁 anyway I started playing some other game and after about 1 hour I checked the joy again, suddenly is was there, that is when I pluged it in then windows xp said "new hardware found and instaled" and yes the profiler also found it, but it the not respond to the tests (ie: the movement a butten pushes where not registered). I repeated this a couple of times, even tried to connect it via standard game port but nothing better happen.
Bottom line is if I leanve it unpluged for a little while then plud it, windows and the L.Profiler will recognise it when I plug it in for about 2 min. then it disapears, and no matter what I do L.Profiler doesn't even see it connected.
This morning (I had it unpluged all night) it actually worked for about 30 secs, that is, it did not only recognise it but it responded to movement a button push in the profiller, which it did not do earlier.
So I am really desperate, what could be my problem (If it was a definite RMA, then it should not work at all), is there and possibility that this might be a SW issue (DX 9.0b? maybe). I can go RMA it on monday but I don't want to look stupid, when they plug it in their test system there and it suddenly works, then they will not replace it.
Its just too wierd, why would it work for a very short while and then completly dissapear?. (ie, even the controller is not found)
And help, ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
