Wierd Nero issue

I recently backed up some data on a desktop but later when I tried to view that data on another machine the disk shows up as empty. However if I attempt to open the disk through Nero I can see the data.

Anyone experience this problem before? Is there a way to fix it?

All I can think of is it might be an unclosed mutli-session disk. Back in the days of burning CDs, I ran into that problem a couple of times - some CD-Roms refused to read mutlisession discs, and some crappy ones refused to read CD-Rs altogether.
