As of recently I have been really getting into some of the more eccentric movies. I just watched Mulholland Drive last night and loved it. I really like the stuff that both David Lynch and Quinton Tarunteno do, but where do I go from here. The internet seems to have a lack of "Wierd Movies to Watch" or "Wierd Directors to Check Out" lists so maybe you guys would have some ideas. Be it movies, directors, or even just some good list you found on the internet, what are some of your suggestions???

Blue Velvet. That's another David Lynch film. Also try to get Wild at Heart.

I understand where you are coming from. Often it's the off-beat movies that get my creative juices flowing the most.

Try any of the Cohen Brother's films. The Man Who Wasn't there is the latest and I really liked it.

Donnie Darko if you haven't seen that one already.

Here's some wierd movies off the top of my head -

- Pi
- Crash
- Lost Highway(Lynch)
- To a lesser extent, Memento
- Vanilla Sky

Just about any Kubric flick.

There's lots more, but those were just in recent memory.

Heh! I saw that last night!

How about 12 Monkies? Or Magnolia?

12 Monkeys definately. The first movie I saw Brad Pitt in and I thought , "Damn he can actually act". Of course I now consider him to be one of the best actors around.

I haven't seen Magnolia. I meant to but haven't had a chance.

You will find no more bizarre movie than "The Lair Of The White Worm"
also

"After Hours"

"Neighbors"

"Being John Malkovich"

"Killer Klowns from Outer Space"

"Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark"

"American Werewolf in London"

"Time Bandits"

"The Adventures Of Baron VonMunchausen"

After watching all of those movies in one sitting you will find yourself laughing at the most ordinary things and people will think you are insane, unless you are already known to be insane then people will think you are either just in a good mood or finally cracking, either way it works for you cause they will give you their pocket lint if you ask loud enough.

Six String Samurai!

It's great! If you get the DVD, don't watch the videos. No offense to them, but I'm not much for the Red Elvises....
