Wierd Motherboard Problem

Here's the problem.

When I turn on my computer for the first time each day. It will run just until the monitor switchs on from sleep mode(15 seconds), then is shuts down. It will do this two or three times. Then is starts up normally. Once I get a good boot. It will start up and shut down all day long.

I thought I had some kind of short or bad connection some were so I broke down the computer and re-assembled it twice. I made sure there was nothing loose or touching the case.

Do power supplies need to warm up? It's almost like the few seconds it takes the the computer to power up and shut down warms up the power suppy. I've never seen a system do this before. It has me stumped. I don't see how it can work normally if there was a short some were. I would be experencing crashes and reboots. System is very stable once is starts up. It only occures on the first cold boot of the day.

System:

Soyo Dragon Ultra (Black)
AMD XP 2000+
512mb Samsung PC2400
80 MB IBM HD
Aopen GF4 4200 Ti 128mb
