I installed the Nascar4 racing game. The setup went well, the prog checked for all necessary hardware and such. When I clicked on it for the first time to set the prefs and name, my system went dead. Had to shut it down manually. Waited a few minutes, no video, only fans turning. Tried another video card, no go. Tried another cpu, no go. tried different ram, no go. Only one item left, the mboard. Used my backup system board, which is the same board, and boom, it booted rite up. Using the MSI 6330, with Matrox g400 -- 512mb ram....850tbird--Win2k.
Motherboard is only 1 year old. Could it be a graphics rich prog like that can kill a board, or chip, or AGP controller?
