I get these wierd lockups occasionally like IE will just crash. It'll says something like windows will not debug this app, blah and have a box with a cancel button. I just reinstalled win2k last week, but i added a 2nd video card for dual monitors. Seems to work ok. I had no VIA patches installed. The crashes were still there after i installed the 4.129 4 in one drive (miracalously didnt kill anything, even installed the IDE one, must have been because i downloaded it from VIA's site and not the leaked "final"
The crashes were real occasional and i couldn't reproduce them really. I also noticed all my devices are on irq 9 (my live xgamer, nic and 2nd vid card). I know that is from acpi but i dont know how to disable it, not sure if thats the problem though.
I also noticed that my ms natural pro locks up in the bios (its on usb) if i have my lexar compact flash reader plugged in and a card is in it. That is real odd, and i'm not sure if that is the problem either. ANyways any ideas?
