Hey all,
I just picked up this new monitor to go with my 4890. I'm running Vista 64 and Cat 9.6.

There is a really wierd issue when the monitor is hooked up VIA HDMI, basically, whenever I turn off the PC or it enters sleep the monitor stays on displaying a "no signal" error.

If its hooked up via DVI, it turns off just fine. Someone mentioned that might be because Vista thinks my monitor is an HDTV, but the driver installed for it is "Generic LCD monitor."

Any ideas on how I could fix this?

I have only bad experience with native HDMI in ATi. Your issue is very frequent (with no real solution, just a workaround - use DVI->HDMI). Is there a particular reason you cannot use the DVI->HDMI converter? The ATi one passes audio without any issues and the card can have 2 displays connected anyway.

Unless you have 1xHDMI and 1xDVI only and have 2 screens...
