Wierd event when rerieving emails

I was pulling down my emails as usual this morning and up popped a very strange message. Some googling yielded no info. So I did ctrl-alt-del and ended the program because I wasn't sure if I should click it. What do you guys think?

DELE is the raw POP3 command for delete.

Your mail server or mail program malfunctioned... if it happens frequently, call your ISP.

Just to update what I had to do was log in to my ISP's website and on there they have an account management option where you can dump whatever is on the mail server. I think it was all spam so I did it and everything is back to normal.
