Wierd DVD problem

My cheap-a$$ DVD player spins the screen from top to bottom (not sure the exact terminology for this). If this happened on a VCR player I could use the tracking button to set the screen pic correctly. Any way to fix this or what causes it?

Should have known better than to by a cheap $29 DVD player from Walmart.

I don't know the solution to your problem, but I can offer advice: Throw away your broke-ass, cheap POS, and go forth to purchase a good-quality player. Honestly, you get what you pay for.

Are you running the video through your VCR by chance?

I thought macrovison (the copy protection on DVDs) only faded the picture in and out, but it's possible they changed it.

If you run a DVD video source through a VCR, the copy protection kicks in. You've got to connect them directly to a TV.

No, it is not connected to a VCR, though, the TV has a built in VCR 😀

It has only started about a week ago. I had no problem with it for the first 6 months, nor with the XBox that was hooked up to it before.

My thought is to get another XBox, one for the bedroom, one for upstairs.
