I had three orders in the course of 1/2 hour today. When I pulled up the info, all of them were on credit cards belonging to someone in the US, while the customers gave shipping addresses of Slovenia and Macedonia. I will be on the phone in the morning with merchant services. I tried to locate the people in the US, who's names are on the accounts and call them, to let them know that their accounts appear to have been compromised, but could not find any listings.

This is crazy. I'll bet if these crooks had those numbers, they probably have more. :|

No, I did not, and would not ship. When that flag goes up, I'd be as much of a theif as them, to process such orders.

I've shipped to lots of places besides US and Canada, infact some of my best customers are in Sweden, Australia and England, but I check out things real well. I sent something to the Philippines the other day, after doing some legwork.

Yes they could possibly be part of those Russian hackers we keep hearing about that go around stealing CC numbers

So I guess if I deploy to Macedonia at some point, I won't be able to order any computer parts from you? ;)

Compuwiz, you never cease to amaze me with your actions. Not only did you contact merchant services, but you're attempting to get in touch with the card owners. Kudos man, I hope lots of people see this and you're flooded with orders :D

Well, more orders from Slovenia today, on........you guessed it, heisted credit card numbers. :|

Thanks to these trolls, I just changed my shipping policy. No more shipping to other than US or Canada. I simply can't afford to mess with this risk. :(

Steve,I set a policy of no more credit cards period. My merchant people ripped me off and tried to charge me for a stolen card transaction that they didn't even pay on.It is a sheme the merchant(you) are at he mercy of not only the blatent thieves trying to make the transaction, but also the white collar thieves who process transactions.

Turn the info you have over to the FBI. They have a task force working on this, and they sometimes get these people. I haven't much aloha for the FBI and there most recent track record, but who else can you call?

Don't take any woooden nickles.;)

My business would die without being able to accept credit cards. The other thing I find amazing is the number of disputed charges I have to pull records on and send in, to avoid chargebacks. Do people make a business of disputing everything, hoping some if will stick? And people think it's the merchant out to do the ripping off! :Q

aye, so with such a watchful seller, what else can comp do to these fraud-ers? does the fbi actually care about a small case of stolen credit cards?
