Wierd coloring of pixels with refurbished card

Hello,

I bought a refurbished 4200ti from new egg. The motherboard they sent me was bad so by the time I got the system up and running, the warranty for the refurbished video card was over. I get these funny colors both in dos and windows enviroments. Would flashing the bios help? Is the card shot to hell?

I'd say your card is owned. It's also possible that the bad mobo cooked the Ti4200.

Call Newegg support - they might be able to help you out.

I'd say you're the beneficiary of some "harmless" OCing and subsequent RMA.

i'd call newegg and explain the situation exactly as you did here, they are pretty reasonable people and would likely make an exception on the grounds you gave.
