WIERD cd burner problem. Please Help!

We have burner at work, a TDK 12x using nero to burn with. A few days ago after selecting cd copy, it would read the disk but fail the burn. Nothing done to the system at all. Its only for burning.

So, I put on clone cd thinking that it might be the software. I get the same error however clonecd prompted me saying it could not get access to the burner drive and gave me the option to retry. I did and it burns without a problem. It will also burn from a hard drive image so the flaw has to do with reading a cd then trying to copy it.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
 
Tex, I have a similar problem with my Aopen 1232a. Sometimes when burning at 12x I get an error message stating that the procedure failed. I could hear the burner spinning up for about 25 seconds and then the message pops up.

I've found that reducing the burn speed to 8x fixes this prob, although thats not much of a fix😱
