Wierd Booting Problems with 650i motherboard

I've finally got all the part for my build that will last me till Q3 with the $266 Q6600 hits. However, I've been having problems booting. Here's the setup

Retail E6420 with Arctic Cooling Freezer 7
Buffalo Firestix 2x1GB DDR800 Rev.C (The suspected D9 one)
MSI P6N SLI Platinum
eVGA 7900GS
Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer
Seagate 7200.9 SATA & Toshiab SATA DVD combo drive
Lian-Li PC-7B with Antec NeoHE 550

The problem arise when I try to boot the computer from cold. It refuses no matter how many tries. If I change anything with the memory (i.e. take off 1 dimm from 2, change the slot from 1,2 to 3,4), it will allow me to boot with CMOS checksum error. However, if I shut down the computer, the same problem exhibits. I have to re-seat the memory in different slots or take off 1 stick, anything that changes the memory location/combination. The worst is that, once booted, the system is completely stable. I've ran games (SupCom, CoH), I ran 3Dmark06, I ran 5 hours of Orthos. Everything was stable and fast. All the setting are left in factory default and nothing was changed. I've even tried unplugging all the drives and it would exhibit the same problems.

I've swapped the memory with a generic Wintec DDR-667 2x1GB and it exhibits the same problem. I've ran memtests on both Firestix and Wintec on my Dell C521 and both returned no errors at stock settings. 7900GS is known to be good, and my Antec Neo550 HE powered my previous build with X2 3800 OCed, 2x1GB G.skill, and X850XT PE.

I'm out of ideas short of checking for BIOS and updating it, which I plan to do tonight after work. Is there any other ideas I should look out for?
