wierd 9800 pro VPU recovery problem- READ!

Hey guys. My system is as follows
Barton 2500+
A7N8x deluxe
9800 Pro
Mushkin lvl II PC3500

Ok well i have never had a problem with my card ever, but last night i had VPU recovery kick in 3 times, and it has done it once today. I thought it was strange because it started doing it yesterday after i put my mushkin ram in. What could be causing this. I talked to someone else who had this same problem with his 9700 pro when he switched his ram timings to 2-2-2-6, which is what mine are at now. Before my timings were 2-3-2-6 with my xms and i never had a problem once. Is it possible these could be related? why would it do this? how would i fix it without using slower timings?

Difference is negligible anyways. Can you tell a difference with the 2-2-2-6 vs 2-3-2-6? Not what a benchmark says. I sure can't tell any difference.

I know the difference is minor, im just trying to figure out why it would happen. Id like to take full advantage of the $275 i spent on ram

is the ram spec'd to work at 2226? if so then return it.

No, its rated 2-2-2-6. I have the voltage at 2.9. Everyone i have ever talked to runs this ram at 2-2-2-6 cuz thats the rated voltage. thats what i was running it at. But then i had this problem. im just trying to get to the root of the problem. maybe it will stop happening when i install my New DFI board later this week. What do you mean the only pc3500 ram from mushkin is level 1? It says right on my ram lvl II, and on every computer site around, and they all have it rated at 2-2-2-6

Yeah im using 2x512. yeah the set at newegg that is at like $325 is what i have. They dont make it any more, thats why its not on mushkin's site. i disabled VPU recover and ill see if it still happens.

You won't get an error anymore from it. But keep an eye on the system when using it for gaming or anything. Make sure it's not locking up or anything.
