I don't understand. Obviously Wie is as good as any of the top twenty men's golfers and I wouldn't be suprised if she took Tiger down in match play. She should definitely be on the Ryder Cup team.
Wei is as good as Tiger Woods.
Am I the only one who is reading this? Tell me I'm reading it wrong.
I had to reboot and run antivirus scans after seeing that the first 7 times. I guess it isn't my computer after all.
My God, I guess using language that is in anyway subtle is lost in ATOT. IT IS CALLED SARCASM
Read my last post people and then reread my original post.
For the last time I was invoking subtle sarcasm at a ridiculous concept. Wie has no business being anywhere near the Ryder Cup except as a spectator.

This is stupid. If she can play in the Men's league, then men should be able to play in the women's league. No double standard bullsh!t.
While the part of me agrees, it's also easy for me to see the incentives in wanting to play on the men's tour. Better competition and more $$$ through prize pool and possible endorsement deals. What would be the men's reasons to play on the LPGA tour? There's nothing exciting about an athelete seeking out lesser competition. That'd be like Barry Bonds saying he wants to own the minor league HR record. Should this be the reason why men are barred from LPGA? I don't see why not. It's the spirit of competition.
Disclaimer: I'm a complete golf newbie. I also have no idea if LPGA doesn't allow men to participate.
The LPGA does not allow men to compete for the same reasons that a 30 year old, able-bodied man cannot compete on the Senior tour, or the junior circuits or the Special Olympics.
The PGA Tour is a tour of professional golfers where all the members are men. But it is not a men's only tour.
Now, if the PGA Tour changed it's bylaws to make it a men's only tour, then Wie should be not allowed to compete (she would still have a venue in the LPGA). But why would the PGA Tour do that? They make tons of $$$ with all the publicity, and it would seem like the PGA Tour players are afraid to play with girls.
Did you just compare the Special Olympics with the LPGA?
