right after a few problems with XP i have formatted and reinstalled it but what i want to know is !!!

what should i do to it to make it a little faster... some of you on here turn of system restore ? why is there a reason for this?

any other rubbish i dont need? and can i turn them off???

System restore might have saved you from reformating in the first place, i would suggest that you use it unless you got Ghost 2002 or something similar.
