Widescreen Monitor Utility

Hey,

I'm currently using a Dell 2405FPW which I am comlpetely in love with. I made the move from using a 2001FP and a 17" lcd.

I love the 24" but it is somewhat of a hassle to resize windows in order to fit two browsers on the screen or any two applications. Is there any utility that would allow me to maximize screens to 50% of monitor, (ie. maximize left/maximize right). These programs are common for dual displays but I have never seen for a widescreen. This would be an awesome utility for larger widescreen monitors.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Mike

have your 2 windows/apps open. right click the task bar --> select "Tile windows vertically" (or horizontally, depending on time of day)

^What he said. This feature has been built into Windows since the 3.1 days. 😉🙂

except it doesnt work very well if you have like 10 windows open and you only want two of them at one time. Then you have to minimize the ones that you dont want on there.

Kind of a PITA if oyu have more than two apps open tho' 😛

yeah, I usually have many more than 2 windows open, that's what I was referring to. It would be great to ahve a little button next to the max button that did this (max left/max right). Tile really only works when you have a couple open.
