Widescreen monitor not displaying correctly

I recently purchased 2 19 inch widescreen monitors (HannsG HW191D). My install of xp was completly new so i had to install the drivers for my video card. Before i installed the drivers it was the usual 800*600 resolution stetched accross the screen.

So after installing the drivers i was then able to choose 1440*900 (monitors native resolution) but this caused the screen to pan when i move my mouse to the right or left of the screen, and if i turn off scaling it shows a squashed image (like when you watch a widescreen movie on a 4:3 screen) but still pans. If i set it to a 4:3 aspect resolution it shows streched on the screen even if scaling is turned off (so it should keep the aspect ratio and show black on each side of the video).

This only seems to happen on dvi, if i use vga then it appears as it should, but using vga is not a long term solution for me.

Im using an nvidia 7600GT with latest driver (162.18)

I am having this same issue, I have to have it at a resolution right below it. It seems to be for me at least that I am unable to change it's resolution in the monitor and it won't pick up the feed correctly or something like that. Have you figured out a fix for this?
