I am looking to upgrade my 17'' to a 19'' and was looking around. I found a deal on a 19 inch widescreen LCD. I am wondering if a widescreen would be good for games since that is that i spend a majority of my time doing.
I am debating between :
This :Widescreen
or this Regular
Both are decent monitors i think.

Thanks

I would always go for a widescreen. After going widescreen i don't want to go back to a box. ...........think outside the box man..;)

Holy crap, look at that system. Why are you wasting your time with a piddly little 19"? You've bought the best of everything and now you're going to scrimp on a monitor?

i have to agree, you won't be flexing the power of your machine running at those lower resolutions... go for 1600x1200 or higher as it looks like your machine can handle it pretty well

btw, the rosewill widescreen version you posted actually has LESS pixels than the "box" version... if you multiply the H x W you'll get total pixels... in short, the 1280x1024 monitor will give you a larger viewable area and more "screen real estate" - IMO, that's always more desirable

2nd btw, rosewill is an off brand and not recommended, again just my opinion
