Anybody get this to work without chopping off the bottom and top?

I can't go to widescreengamingforum because the website is blocked at my work.

No, it doesnt work properly. You cant adjust the FOV. You can change the res in the config files, I guess its better than nothing.

As much as I like BF2, that is the single biggest complaint Ive got with the series. Its pretty silly that they wont just make it work. They claim it gives an unfair advantage to players with WS.

Which is funny, because anyone with a system greater than the minimums would have an 'unfair' advantage.

So instead anyone without a wide screen gets an unfair advantage over those who do? Great system.

I agree, its silly. As mentioned if I have a system powerful enough to set draw distance to the max, but someone else doesnt, thats ok. Yet having more game on the sides, isnt fair.

If someone can afford it (and now WS are so cheap, and most are going that way anyhow) I dont see where they have an leg to stand on with this.

Lol by that logic it should have horrid graphics because it might give an unfair advantage to people with decent systems. Regardless it's obvious BS, they just don't want to be bothered supporting a standard because it would cost them a little bit of money. People need to stop financially supporting companies that do things like this, or they'll never stop x_x

No, that just does what I said it did. Not real WS, as you cant change the FOV. Its better than nothing to me though.

I don't understand what people are complaining about. Yes they should have included widescreen support and they didn't. I run it with the szx 1920 +szy 1200 command with everything maxed, it looks great and i don't feel that i am handicapped in the slightest.

The biggest problem is EA.
I will never buy a game for these idiots until their games are 100% w/s supportive.

supportive and maintained more like it. BF2 was my last EA game.

I'm playing Warhammer online just because they don't even touch the game besides publishing.

I don't think that DICE was bought by EA until a little while ago. DICE was on it's own when the game was originally made.

DICE is really responsible for their incredibly buggy game code that takes a couple of tries to fix. to rub salt in the wound, EA rushes their games. BF2 is one of my favorite games, mainly because I love modern warfare on the mass BF scale. What frustrates me is that EA is taking their time with the BF coming to PC, and there are no PC equivalents. CoD is 16 players, no vehicles, Armed Assault is crap, Operation Flashpoint is old as hell...

My only hope is Operation Flashpoint 2, which is coming out for xbox 360, PC, and PS3..
Oh wait...
