Hi everyone,

I have been studying microwave circuits and I would like to design a wideband directional coupler (2 to 8 GHz) with the 10dB coupling and a high directivity.

Any ideas?

Define wideband (ie. constant coupling within +/- ? dB)
How much isolation are you looking for?

Does only amplitude relationship matter, or does phase relationship matter as well?

Forget surface mounts, but waveguide couplers would probably need to have repeating sections.
