Anyone aware of the WICKEDX Snap-On TURBO product

They claim:

"Video cards can be overclocked beyond factory specs but they hit a wall eventually, and this wall is directly related to the amount of voltage the graphics core is receiving as well as (to a lesser extent) the temperature of the graphics core.

WICKEDX uses voltage modding i.e. tweaking the voltage of the graphics core.

WICKEDX claims you will be able to boot your computer and overclock your card greatly using Riva Tuner or Nvidia Control Panel, you can transform a mere 8800 GT into a 9800 GTX."

It looks like a wire to ground a resistor on the 8800 card. It has a spring which holds the active connection firmly against a resistor so there is no soldering required.

It sells on Ebay for ~ $60 - $80.

If one knew what resistors to connect to a $.05 piece of wire would work!

Not the same. The 9800GTX uses the same core as the G92 8800GTS (all SP enabled) but uses a beefed-up PCB that can handle higher voltage for better clocks.

But why on earth would you spend $60-80 to overclock an 8800GT? Just overclock it without extra voltage, or follow one of the voltmod guides out there to do it yourself.

most ppl don't want solder on their cards cause iz rly xpensive, not all ppl have steady eyes and hands, and some of us never even soldered before

the snap on don't even work on 280s, Ati cards
the snap ons @ $60 a piece I'd rather buy a better next-gen card than risk frying a card or have little increase ~ no results at all, lol that voodnoob is trying to get a patent on this Turbo crap LOL
