Serendipitys has very good desert, but I hate the line there. Last time I went, there was a 2 hour wait on a saturday.

by the way, there's this great dessert place (serves dinner as well) called my most favorite dessert at 120 west 45th street. (right east off broadway)

it's a bit pricey, but it's a good place to go for a romantic dinner.
