What Geforce2 card are you looking at? I'd probly go With the Radeon as they are the best for what I do. The Radeon has better 2D and awsome DVD support. They also a have better price/performance ratio.

I use a Radeon and am very happy with it (though the performance of my PCI Radeon leaves a little to be desired). The 2D quality is very nice...some say almost as good as Matrox.
The Matrox card will be slow at 3D, from what I've been told. And the Geforce 2's are not exactly the best in terms of 2D quality, but apparently the Geforce 3's are somewhat better in this regard. HTH.

I am not real satisfied with my Radeon. Great 2d and 3d quality but slow Unreal Tournament performance and messed up fogging support so Counterstrike goes nuts when someone throws a smoke grenade.

Personally I am looking to upgrade to the Geforce II Pro 64mb ($142 from www.newegg.com) or the new Kyro II 64MB ($110 from Newegg). Both seem to have better performance than the Radeon and from what I hear the Kyro II has similar image quality.

Do you mean that you need the video card to be able to capture video? If so, then I don't think a GF2 is going to do it for you, as I've yet to see GF2 cards with video-in capabilities. Most of them just have TV-out. Same for the Kyro II.

If this is the case, then between the two remaining cards, get the Radeon if you care about 3D performance. If you don't, get the Matrox.
