Wi-Fi printer adapter question

I've never used one of these so I'm curious before I go and blow money on one. If I have a 3-in-1 printer, will I still be able to use the scan/memory card function of this thing or do these only do printing.

If the printer is Network capable evry thing will work.

If it is Not sold as Network capable the printer part would work. The scanner probably will Not

PC world reviewed one that is supposed to work with scanners as well as printers. I forget what it was called, but they do exist. Not very many print servers allow two way communication.
