Wi-Ex aBoost cell phone boosters

Anyone use a Wi-Ex zBoost cell phone booster unit? Did you get it to work? any tips for installation?


Trying to set one up here at work and it seems pointless. They even sent me a different antenna but it doesn't make any difference. On the roof I get maybe 3 bars signal max and I get maybe 1-2 bars within 20 feet of the indoor unit.

One thing it says is to put the antenna at 90 degrees angle from the base unit. I failed geometry in HS, but I know what a 90 degree angle looks like, but I don't understand this.

_| = 90 degree angle. so does that mean the antenna would be at the top right and the base would be at the bottom left or what?

i was thinking about the outdoor antenna but it meant the little antenna like on a wireless AP. this one has a square box-like indoor antenna.

the stupid thing seems worthless to me so far.
