I just upgraded my system from Asus A7Vkt133 1.33 mghz thunderbird to the Soyo Dragon + 1.53 mghz Amd 1800 +,my boot up times are way slower now, I was expecting it to be faster, any sugestions?

Dunno if this applies to you, but...

If your system has has a network card which is not hooked up to a network, Windows will spend about a minute during bootup trying to receive a dhcp address.

To get around this you should either

- remove the network card (if you are not using it)
- or disable the network card in bios
- or disable the network card in Windows
- or assign a fake static IP to the card in Windows

Does your new motherboard have a built-in network card?

Check your autoexec and config files and see what's being loaded when your system is booting up. Lots of times, you'll find unnecessary stuff loading up at boot. For instance when I installed Quicktime 5, they put a line in my autoexec that automatically loads up a proggie called "QTJava".
