hey guys first post so dont hate lol. i got a free vostro 200 awhile back with a e7500 and msi 5770 with 4gb pc2 6400 and an upgraded antec basic power 350 watts. i wanna know what i need to upgrade in order to run blackops at the highest settings possible. should i upgrade the video card to say a gtx 460? do i need to get a new motherboar so i can o.c the e7500 to 3ghz+? or is it hopeless and i should just start all over. thanks for the opinions in advance :'(

Blops at highest settings? Yeah a GTX460 and a ~3ghz Quad will do it.

Stock E7500 is a little limiting. That 350W PSU may be a bit stretched there as well.

Black ops is badly optimized for PC so it tends to use many fast cores. It also depends on the res of your monitor. Any better GPU will require another PSU, I don't know if Dell uses standard form PSUs you'll have to check. I personally would not put any money in upgrading a dead socket, the 775. But why don't you buy the game and see how it runs? The cheapest and hassle free option to play that game is to get an xbox.

I dont know if your 350w PSU will hold up. watch out for that. If you get freezes crashes etc, then that's why. gg and gb

Yes, agree with this post. I havent played in a long time, but Black Ops is terrible on the PC. Even people with high end systems had problems initially with stuttering. I dont know if there have been any patches that solved the problems. There were a lot of patches initially that did not really seem to help a lot. If you dont have the game already, I would agree to just get it for the Xbox. Unless you are heavy into multiplayer, just rent it. You can finish the SP campaign in a few hours.
