HELP
On 12/23/02 I posted the below help message. I was given directions which I followed. Now I have NO sound at all. totaly gone, not even the center jack is working!!!!! Anyone else have a suggestion.

12/23/02 Ok I just put together my new machine and no problems except the sound. I have the below configuration. My speakers worked fine with my SB Live that is in my Dell. Now I get only the rears, or only the front or only the center. What ever I plug into the center jack of the board. Soundmax software is set for 5.1. What stupid thing am I doing wrong???????????????

Don't you need a decoder (separate, or part of the really expensive speakers, like $300+) to use 5.1 sound? Try disabling 5.1, or choosing another option.
 
well, what kind of speakers do you have? You're using the onboard sound card right? are you sure you're pluggin in everything correctly?
