I've noticed that too. I don't know why. Maybe because there are more copies of XP out there to get. Or maybe so that you'll be more tempted to get XP instead of 98. <shrugs>

try fleabay? edit: make sure you get a real CD, not a burn, and a certificate of authenticity also.

Probably for the same reason Novell prices their older stuff higher than the newer stuff, to promote the use of the newer stuff. Personally you couldn't pay me to run win98.
