Why you shouldn't ship with UPS. (Crushed Apples)

I agree that it looks poorly packed.

Next time, go buy a steel safe. Then package the contents in the safe, and have UPS deliver that.

The box also looks like it was used a couple of times before to ship things. I wouldn't totally fault UPS in this one.

On top of the aparent poor packaging, everybody makes mistakes. Not just UPS. Every year, thousands of packages are lost or destroyed with each shipping company out there. Even if you drove the stuff, yourself, you're still running the risk of an accident and ruining the material. It's not fair to say "don't ship UPS!" when you just happened to be one of the ones that this happens to every year. Hell, it took USPS nine months to deliver one of my packages less than 200 miles!

I've gone through shipping with UPS and FedEx numerous times and have not a problem or complaint, as long as the package was properly packed. I'm not sure how well this guy packed his machine, but from the outside contents of the box, it looks like he did a poor job in packing it.

True. Actually, I have no problems with shipping with UPS. I just like to pick on them from time to time because around here they do have a very sorid history of doing some really nasty things to packages, providing they arrive at all. 🙂 But overall I don't have anything against UPS.

Man, I hope the first system I sent out doesn't look like that when it arrives in Cal. (shipped from Fl.) next week. 'course I sent it FedEx ground. I double boxed mine, shipping the tower in the original box the Antec case came in. I removed and boxed all the drives and agp/pci cards then placed all the boxes into one big box and packed it full of peanuts. It weighed over 40 lbs! $34.00 shipping (5 days) didn't seem too bad. We'll see when it gets there....
