why people accept friend invitations when they don't actually know them... is beyond me. Facebook should not be Myspace.

Facebook IS Myspace, people who use it over Myspace have some weird elitist snob attitude about how much better FB is. They do the same thing, and they both suck exactly the same IMHO.

Myspace has stupid turds
Facebook has elitist turds

See what happens when you forget a very important punctuation mark? You need the dash between "man" and "shit".

If you click on her pic in the myspace page, you'll open another page w/ all her pics.

The OP was referring to a sub-topic within that topic.
Original post was about a teacher who got arrested for having sex with a kid.
One kid posts that he has a teacher at his school he'd like to have sex with.
Some jerk friends her and then sends his picture.

You know what, if you post something for public consumption you have no one to blame but yourself. He learned a valuable life lesson.

FB pages don't tend to be as eye-searing as Myspace, but yeah, once it was open to everyone it became the same thing.

Still, I don't think I've ever seen a Myspace page that wasn't almost impossible to read. Facebook examples do exist.

She's hot, though, don't know why she had to settle for high schoolers.

Most likely it has to do with the "excitement" aspect of being with a highschooler.

With facebook comes real identities. People find long lost high school or even grade school friends that way. Real names. Real information without the fluff (like the pink background and hearts you saw on this chick's myspace) or "aliases" and auto-loading music that may describe your "artistic" side to an unwilling visitor. And by default, you cannot see random person's facebook because it is used for more private purposes and adults keep it that way.

I don't know what kind of people you know on facebook (you have actually used it right?), but it is never like myspace from what I see or ANYONE I actually know. This is why people should not friend strangers just because they want the popular vote... rampant on myspace. "HEY THANKS FOR THE ADD!" WhoTF are you and why are you called a "friend"? The privacy factor and the inability to "show off" anything means little/no random-friend requests on FB. The purpose then? Put 2 + 2 together and figure it out...

There is no elitist attitude... it's really simple - myspace is technically (yes, I do mean technically) inferior because of the above if you're arguing validity & usefulness... it's not an attitude. If there is an attitude, it is from the "social site" haters because they think they are too good for it and have never even tried it out. You're probably too good for most "popular" things.
