This is from the SA Forums, thought I'd post it here, it's painful almost....no there will not be cliffs.
I work for a company that uses SMS (mobile text messaging) to keep our clients updated with status messages. Some of the messages that are sent from the system are automated. However others are composed by the staff who work in our call centre. The messaging is one way only, you can send to any number but you can't receive. Any replies go to the IT department.
Now this, as you can imagine, is open to abuse. You could potentially have staff sending messages for free to their loved ones. Our Acceptable Use Policy states that all computer systems are logged, monitored, and audited. The SMS system is no different.
However from time to time people forget about the logging and monitoring. Earlier today the SMS system broke and we went back through the audit log to see what might have caused it. We then stumbled upon some messages (ok quite a lot of messages) being sent from one of the call centre staff to his fancy woman.
I have changed the names to protect the innocent and the guilty. The messages were sent from 'Bob' to 'Daisy'. Join me on my journey of discovery through Bob's messages.
Bob was careful. After a few simple "hello" messages he did warn Daisy by saying, "I'm texting from my PC so don't reply to it as it goes to our IT Department, reply to my mobile".
All messages posted will be from Bob and are in chronological order. I have left out anything boring. Oh, and I joined up any messages that were continuations.
Day 1

Between a number of these messages he sends himself texts to check that the system is still working. I wonder if she isn't replying to him and that is why he keeps checking.

Then there are a series of boring messages about him asking her if he should not talk to her and if she wants him to break contact with her. I can't be bothered to type them out. Usual stuff about "you are my first and last thought every day" and "it is your decision".
