why wouldn't you vote for hillary?

She is to polarizing.

I would say that there is a good chance that America will be looking for someone who can bring the country together after this mess and in fighting we have had for the past 5 or so years.

Which means Hillary and Newt are both not likely to win, although nothing is certain.
This is good news for people like Romney or some Democrat governor. People who have been out of Washington and not part of the partisan in fighting.

A moderate Republican or Democrat might do the country some good.. assuming one can get nominated.

I think the VP question might be more interesting. There is a really good chance we could see a female VP this time, and one who has a chance to win unlike Mondale in 1984. Think about it, if Hillary decided she can?t win the presidency and sits the nominating process out and then the nominee comes to her and offers her the chance to be the first female VP, would Hillary pass that chance up? And would the Republicans respond by nominating Condi Rice for VP?

Actually, more time and money have been spent investigating the Clintons than has been spent on any other President in history of the USA (including George Bush). They verdict is that the Clintons are "clean". Creating doubt about the Clinton's past was a right wing tactic that was used to attempt to "destroy" the Clintons, the mud is sticking I guess. You hear these idiotic allegations being spewed out by right-wing nut jobs on the various political forums.

If she was nominated, I would vote for her over a Republican. But I do hope it's someone less dividing who hopefully will put this bitter partizanship behind us for a few years.

I try to stay clear of communism, even if it is the leading ideal in this country to redistribute wealth and grow big government.
 
I dunno...I've been a Democrat all my life, and she's too dammed liberal for me. I liked Bill, and would vote for him again in a heartbeat, but I don't trust her one bit. TOO power hungry.
I agree with the poster who said that the country just isn't ready for a woman president yet. Too bad, but it's true. I'm of the opinion, that if the Democrats send Hillary up as the Democratic nominee, it will be a shoe-in for whoever the repukes run against her. She's just too hated, and too liberal, even for most dems...

I have not seen much if any real support of her for president from any of the libs posting here. I am going to go out on a limb and predict that she does not even run in 2008.

I wouldn't trust any candidate, who from facial expressions, looks like she has been impaled by a giant kosher dill pickle, not unlike the kind you see at the state fair. :laugh:
 
she's a socialist. She is trying to pander to both sides and that will kill her chances anyhow. With the ultra lefties getting more and more of the power I'm not sure she is liberal enough. I think alot of people just are turned off by her though not to mention her closet lesbian undertones. She is probably a lot better person than her husband but not as savvy in delivery of message.

Of course I remember Harry Reid and her standing on stage together saying they have a democratic platform/strategy shorty after the new year (2006) and well no hint of that.

The Dems have a great shot to take back both houses but they are going to shoot themselves in the foot with this "no solution to our prolems just blame it on Bush and hope that our country flounders just to get back the power" negative partisan message that is couter productive.

Hmm someone who doesn't just stick to a party line and can cross the center line when it's rational to do so or when the popular support is there? ... why would we ever want someone like that? We want someone to stick to a corner and stay the coarse regardless of where the popular support is on the issues! err... wait a minute.

I have no idea yet if I'd vote for Hillary. A) It's still uncertain if she will run. B) It's uncertain who she's running against.

If she was running against the current administration that would be a simple choice. If she were to run against a McCain/Guliani (sp?) ticket then things would be more interesting.
 
Nominating Hillary would be the most efficent way for the Democrats to throw the next election to the Republicans short of installing big posters of Stalin at the DNC and addressing everyone as "comrade". She is just too polarizing a figure (a negative one at that to too many people).

I don't care for her myself as she won't take a firm stand on hardly anything so we have no idea what to expect if she actually made it to office. Her streak of opportunism also seems to run deeper than most career politicians and that is saying something.
