So anyway,

I started working for the state for the past 4 months or so now. There is this woman there (DBA), that I can pretty much describe as an over aggressive, sly, back stabbing, ladder climbing bitch. Anyway her last day was last week friday. The office throws a party for her leaving . She even admits during the party that she's sure people are happy that she's leaving.....

and its an excuse for a party. so why not?

we had a chick who worked for my dad. sweet girl, but lazy as hell and never did anything, and people complained about having to take up her slack.

but she got a party when she left. who gives a fuck...we had cake!

I can tell you, a lot of people, even the software vendors were happy to see her go. I didn't even go to her bs party. I mean you give a party to someone who's been there 2 years at least.

I left a job after one year, and my group took me to lunch to see me off. I was pretty well liked (I guess), worked really hard, and got a lot accomplished in my first year there, so I guess that explains it. Plus, its an excuse to go out on the company....

They figured it would help ensure she didn't sabotage the database on her last day.

I got a party after working only 6 months out of a 9 month contracting job. I did a kick-ass job while I was there and I think half of them wanted to come with me to the startup I went to.
