Why would win2k throw "My Documents" into a folder on my deasktop and make it a system folder?

I have a folder on my desktop called bc up-down and one day there was my documents in there and I cant delete it cause it is a system folder. Whenever I tell winrar to extract to my documents by clicking it in the explorer window it automattically goes for the one in that folder on my desktop instad of the one in "my documents and settings" and because of this the computer gets confued when I tell stuff to extract to My documents not in that folder on my desktop. It wont open it and it says the file is not there or currupt. I cant figure this and it sucks cause I am not actually using bc up or bc down anymore and I want that folder gone and everything back to normal. Anyone have a suggestion or soultion.

Its possible that the folder assignment got changed at some point accidentally.

open your "My Documents" folder, right click in some empty space and click properties.

check the Target folder location path. change it back to "my documents and settings"
