This annoying kid in my class is super hyper and says the STUPIDEST things. I just heard from a friend he takes Vicodin. It's a freakin narcotic painkiller. Why on earth would HE need it!??!

Is he taking it as a recreation drug or as a prescription that a doctor gave him? Eitherway Vicodin lays you out and makes you a lot more mellow. If he was taking Adderall or some other amphetamine then I could see why he is acting hyper.

It's an easy legal drug to get from your local dentis. One of the ladies that used to post here got hook on it. She had a thread about it somewhere.

Oh, you can get high from taking it I guess.

iirc, vicodin is an opiate, so he should be far from hyper. (what nocturnal said)

he's probably some add'er that needs his ridalin dose jacked up.

Actualy, the sedative effect is predominant in most people but there are some who get loopy and hyper from synthetic opiates.

I used to have severe migrains... Ones that lasted for weeks and I would go blind in the process. The doc couldn't figure out what was wrong and untill my appt came with the neurologist he gave me Vicodin. Man that killed the headaches fast too. But it put me out too lol

I's a very effective painkiller often prescribed to people with spinal injuries. I was on it for several months when I fractured my C7 vertebrae. Yes it is addictive which I found out. The couple of months after i stopped taking it were lets say unpleasant. Sounds like he is abusing. Never heard of it used strictly as a sedative. I doubt seriously that a Doctor would prescribe that unless he was experiencing a considerable amount of pain.
